Firstly it’s because the Dummies books are based on real surveys of people looking for advice on the topic. The Dummies marketing research is thorough so the company can decide whether a book is worth writing or not. Pretty smart.
Tennis for Dummies certainly was well researched and sells by the bucket load because it answers questions that people who are new to tennis need answered.
I’ve reviewed the book myself and highly recommend it if you’re a tennis newbie and want to understand the game, even if it’s only to understand the game from the sidelines.
You’ll learn the rules, how to hit shots, about tennis coaches, what kind of basic strategies you can use, and further opportunities if you want to move your tennis to a higher level.
